We have a new database! Academic Charts Online is the latest addition to our 700+ strong collection of databases, this one coming to you courtesy of the Music & Media Center. Academic Charts Online, or ACO as we like to call it, contains Billboard Chart data since 1958, plus the hot 100 weekly singles, the Top 200 weekly albums since ‘85, Top 15 Traditional Classical Albums since ‘93, and Top 15 World Albums charting in the US since ‘99.
Are you drooling yet? It gets better, way better, with a ton of official charting data from the UK, Canada, Spain, Australia, Switzerland, Austria, Sweden, Germany and Japan, with data from France, China, Brazil, and Finland on the way.
And in case you thought ACO was just about album stats - erase that idea from your mind right now, it’s soooo much more than that.

ACO is the ability to correlate world events with albums, singles, and artists:
…and all that is just the tip of the iceberg. Start playing and see what you can discover! You can access it via the library’s website (http://library.tulane.edu), change the search interface from SearchAll to Database, and search for Academic Charts Online.
